This article will show
you how to create a BrightAuthor
Connected and BrightAuthor
presentation.
Previous requirements:
Download the latest version of
BrightAuthor Connected or BrightAuthor
software from
BrightAuthor Connected
To create a new presentation in
BrightAuthor Connected Dashboard, follow these
steps:
1. Navigate to the BrightAuthor Connected
Dashboard page and locate the "New
Presentation" button.
2. On the Presentation page, located in
the left column, make a choice between
creating a Single Zone or Multi-Zone
presentation. For this guide, we will walk
you through creating a Single Zone
presentation.

page, complete the necessary fields like
Presentation name, Destination, Target
Player, and others (based on the selected
Target Player). Afterward, click the
"Start" button.
4. Click on the Zone image to access the
Zone properties on the right column. Name
your zone "zy_Main" to unlock
specific features on Zynchro.
5. Go to the top of the page and select
the "Content" tab, then toggle the switch
to "Interactive".
6. Scroll to the bottom and click on the
"Widgets" tab. Locate the "Event Handler"
icon and drag it to the center of the
screen.

the "File" menu. A green box will appear
at the top of your screen, indicating that
the presentation has been successfully
saved.
8. Head to the "Publish" tab at the top
right of your page. In the left column
under Destination, choose "Web Folder" and
insert the directory where you want to
export your presentation for
Zynchro.
9. On the right column, find "Options"
and select "Player Configuration". In the
"URL for Web Folder" field, input
"www.zynchro.tv".

the top right of your screen. If prompted
to ensure your OS/firmware is up to date,
click "OK". Your presentation is now
successfully created.

BrightAuthor Connected presentation into
Zynchro, follow steps 11 to
19.
BrightAuthor
To create a
presentation in Bright
Author (for use as a
template in Zynchro)
please follow these steps
or view the video at the bottom of this
article:
1. Open Bright
Author (BA),
select the layout tab and create as many
zones as you want your
template to
have.
2. For all zones that will be
managed in Zynchro, it's important to
add "zy_" before the desired zone name
(for example, zy_top, zy_video,
zy_menu). This naming convention will
ensure that only the intended zones
are controlled from Zynchro. As for
the zones that won't be managed from
Zynchro, you're free to name them
however you want.
3. Once you have finished creating
and naming your zones, click on the
"Playlist" tab.
4. Change the Playlist Type to
"Interactive" for each zone in your
template by clicking on the radio
button located on the top-right corner
of the screen.
5. The interactive area cannot be
left empty. To avoid this, we
recommend using an Event Handler.
Simply drag and drop the Event Handler
icon onto your
workspace.
6. Save the
template.
7. Go to
“Publish >
Simple File
Network.
8. Click
on Set
Parameters button and for URL
enter http://zynchro.tv
9. Click on Browse
button
to select where
you wish your
presentation to be
saved.
10. Click
Publish.
11. Open
Zynchro.
12. Go to
Content >
Presentations.
13. Click on Upload
New
Presentation button.
14. To upload your presentation to
Zynchro, drag the folder that contains
your presentation files directly into
the platform. IMPORTANT: Please do not
open the folder and drag individual
files. You must upload the entire
folder as it was created by BA (no
.zip).
15. Zynchro
will start
uploading the
files
automatically.
16. After Zynchro finishes
uploading it, you'll be redirected to
a list of all your
presentations.
17. In Content
go to Playlist and
click on New
Playlist button.
18. Fill in the required fields
for your new playlist by naming it and
selecting your newly uploaded template
in the presentation
field.
19. Click 'Save' and you'll be
redirected to the playlist screen
where you can find your newly created
playlist.
