In order to create a playlist, you must first have two elements:

  1. A presentation previously created in BrightAuthor. For more information on creating presentations in Bright Author, please click here.

  2. Content in your media library, be it images and/or videos. For more information on adding content to your media library please refer to that section of this guide or click here.

Once you have these two elements, you can begin creating your playlist (if you prefer a video overview, please scroll down to the end of this page). 

Go to Content -> Playlist.

Click on the New Playlist button, you will be redirected to this screen where you can name your playlist and select what presentation it will show. Click Save to confirm. 






After naming and selecting the presentation, click Save.  You will then be able to establish your playlists’ settings.



If your template has more than one zone, you will see tabs below the presentation’s name where you can modify each zone's settings.

Click on the blue Add button to open your Media Library and select your desired content.



You can search for your media using the search bar on the top of the screen.

Select your desired media, and click save.

Once you have finished adding your media, it will be listed and you can then determine the duration of your content by type or individually, by clicking on the Edit button.

Conditions permit you to modify when a particular image, video, or HTML will be displayed.  You can create these conditions by date or time. All conditions must be created using more than, less than or equal values.

You can also include or exclude a particular location by code (location ID).

Once a condition has been created, the conditions button will turn green.
